DIRECTOR PROFILE - WINSTAN WHITTER
Winstan Whitter has been working as an independent freelance film maker since 2000. He has produced a diverse body of work which focuses on peoples life stories, communities, Nature and underground scenes across the globe. From Skateboarding, Music Venues, Fire Brigades Union, Ghanian Art, Fruit Bats to music videos which just some of Winstans accomplishments as a Director Producer.
Before and during his independent film making career he had been working as a Director of Photography in Film and TV on a number of projects:
Music Promos: Dizzee Rascal, The Streets, Twang and Professor Green.
Documentaries for 4Play (channel 4) with artists like: Echo & The Bunny men, Hope of the States, Scissor Sisters, The Appleton’s, Fatman Scoop, The Hoosiers, The Fray, Lionel Ritchie, Jack Peneate, John Legend and Paul McCartney.
Commercials: Cobra Beer, Dominoes Pizza and Swatch.
TV Spots and shows: Discovery “Moments In Time”, The Science Channel US “An Idiot Abroad 1& 2”,Spirit Of London Awards, Quicksilver Pro Surf, Vans Downtown Showdown.
Projects in development:
Documentary Drama feature film about the life story of a former Ghanian Prime Minister Dr Kwame Nkrumah, 90mins 2013.
Documentary Drama feature film about the history of Reggae Sound Systems in the UK and Jamaica. Two part TV series each episode running at 52mins 2014.
Documentary feature film about the history of the Fire Brigades Union to be editied and completed in 2018 for the 100 years of the F.B.U. 90mins.

Braided Films is a indepenedent production company based in London. We produce documentaries, commercials, music videos and corporate films worldwide. In our documentary strand we have produced titles like; 'Rollin Through The Decades', 'Save South Bank', 'The Recollection of John Horner', 'Hands Off', 'Save Our Heritage', 'Herbal Spirit' 'Area 37', 'Legacy In The Dust: The Four Aces Story' and 'Independence'.
